How to use the DGR-SIF Facility

Registration :

Absolutely essential. It gives you a priority number and us a reference to your sample. DGR-SIF serves as the registration desk.

External Users :

1. University/ Colleges :
You can visit in-person or send your samples along with a letter from the Head / Guide of your College/Institute original letterhead duly signed and sealed for registration stating that the analysis is for research purpose to qualify for academic concession. The letter should be addressed to The Director, ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research (DGR), Junagadh

2. National Lab :
You can visit in-person or send your samples along with a letter from your Institute original letterhead duly signed and sealed for registration stating that the analysis is for research purpose. The letter should be addressed to The Director, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh

3. Industry:
You can visit in-person or send your samples along with a letter for registration. Covering letter should be on your company original letterhead duly signed and sealed and should also consists the following undertaking: "In any event, the content of report/bill is meant for our information only and we will not use the content of this bill/report for advertisement, evidence or litigation.". Without this undertaking, your letter and samples for analysis will not be accepted. The letter should be addressed to The Director, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh. In your letter mention that "You agree to acknowledge DGR-SIF, Junagadh in your publications and thesis if the SIF Instrument results are incorporated/used in them." As per the guidelines of the ICAR, in all publications of research work, wherein the analytical services of the DGR-SIF have been made use of, the ICAR-DGR-SIF shall be duly acknowledged. Kindly send us the publication reference (Journal name/volume number/names of the authors/date of issue of the publication etc) to us.

Note :

• The analytical data / spectra are provided only for research / development purposes. These can not be used as certificates in legal disputes.
• Service charges are payable at prevailing rates.
• Samples, letter and payment should be sent in the same cover. Samples received without covering letter and payment details will be sent back to the user without any further intimation. Separate Sample should be sent for different analysis.
• In case of multiple analysis, please send separate samples for each analysis.
• Please send the samples in quantity as mentioned in the brochure.
• In all correspondence related to analysis our reference/registration number must be mentioned
• Radio -active material, unstable and explosive compounds are not accepted.
• Interpretation of spectra is not undertaken normally. In special cases this service can be provided on payment on extra charges.
• Kindly collect your left over samples back at the time of collecting your report, which otherwise will be disposed of immediately without any further notice.
• We have a guest house which can be availed on payment basis

Payment :

The payment should be made in advance by electronic transfer to ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh (ACC No: 10283132519 IFSC Code: SBIN0003251) with an intimation to the Director, ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research, PB 5, Junagadh, Gujarat, India-362001

Appointment :

You can request for an appointment on an instrument and fix the same in consultation with the respective in-charge for your sample analysis.

Sample Submission :

Samples are to be submitted at the time of registration or brought along on the date of your appointment for your sample analysis

Results :

After the sample analysis is complete the results are dispatched by E-mail.
