The Institute Management Committee meeting was held on 24.05.2022 under the Chairmanship of Dr. C.S. Praharaj, Principal Scientist and Director (A), ICAR-DGR, Junagadh on virtual mode.

Dr. C. S. Praharaj, Director, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh presented project-wise brief achievements of the Institute. He also informed the members about the on-going WORKS and progress of the Regional Research Stations of the institute situated at Bikaner (Rajasthan), Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) and Medinipur (West Bengal). Earlier, Dr. K.K. Pal, Principal Scientist, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh welcomed the Chairman and the Hon’ble Members of the IMC.

Action taken report (ATR) for the 23rd IMC and the Agenda items for the 24th IMC meeting were presented by Sh. Ananth Kurella, Member-Secretary, IMC, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh. Hon’ble members recommended/approved all the agenda items, like repairing and maintenance of farm office, condemnation of the old tractor and also suggested to purchase new tractor. The committee also recommended/approved the purchase of storage device (network attached) in order to protect the valuable data in the server, and also suggested to purchase new computers rather than updating the old ones for higher efficiency and output. Similarly, IMC members recommended for the construction of office building of RRS of ICAR-DGR at Anantapur following recent signing of the MoU between ICAR-DGR and ANGRAU on 28-4-2022 at ANGRAU, Guntur. IMC members also suggested to write a letter to the SMD for immediate posting of AO, F&AO, other scientific, technical and administration staff against existing vacancies (50% right now) at ICAR-DGR, Junagadh for smooth functioning of the Institute.
