MOU Signing ceremony between ICAR-DGR and ANGRAU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the form of LEASE DEED was signed between Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Lam, Guntur and ICAR- Directorate of Groundnut Research (DGR), Junagadh on 28.04.2022 at ANGRAU, Lam, Guntur for the establishment of Regional Research Station (RRS) of DGR at Ananthpur (Andhra Pradesh). Honorable Vice chancellor of ANGRAU, Dr. A Vishnuvardhan Reddy chaired this meeting cum ceremony and graced on this occasion. The key officials of ANGARU side included Dr. Girdhar Krishna, Registrar, Dr. Yella Reddy, Comptroller and Dr (Mrs) Neeraja T., Dean, Community Sciences. From ICAR-DGR side, Dr. CS Praharaj, Director (Acting), Dr. Harish G, Nodal officer RRS, ICAR-DGR RRS Ananthpur, Dr. Ajay BC Incharge, and Dr. Rajanna GA, Scientist, RRS, ICAR-DGR Ananthpur. The MoU was signed by Dr CS Praharaj, Director (Acting), ICAR-DGR on behalf of Council and Dr. Yella Reddy, Comptroller of ANGRAU, Lam, Guntur in presence of Dr. A Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Honorable Vice chancellor of ANGRAU.

This MoU was signed on this day for leasing out 44.9 acres of land of ANGRAU to ICAR-DGR for the establishment of RRS of ICAR-DGR, Anantpur for 99 years for conducting Groundnut related research and extension. ICAR-DGR greatly acknowledges this support of ANGRAU and assure its endeavours for the development of the region so far cultivation and promotion of groundnut is concerned.
