ICAR-DGR Virtually participated in National Workshop on Self-Sustainability in Edible Oils in India held on 22 April 2022 organized by NAARM, Hyderabad, India. The objectives of this National Workshop included Promotion of Oilseeds Production in India. The Workshop was chaired by Mrs. Shubha Thakur, Joint Secretary (Crops, Oilseeds and Administration), Department of Agriculture Cooperation & Farmer’s welfare, New Delhi (Govt. of India) who briefed about Government Initiatives for Ensuring Self Sustainability in edible Oils. All Directors and Heads of oilseeds related institutes/ industries are invited and delivered their action points on Self-Sustainability in Edible Oils in India. Dr. C.S. Praharaj, Director, ICAR-DGR, Junagadh, India delivered a lead presentation on Importance of  Groundnut in Edible Oils.

The meeting ended with vote of thanks to the chair.
