A 2-day training programme was organized for input dealers of Gir Somnath District from 11.05.2023 to 12.05.203. KVK, Kodinar, KVK Junagadh and ICAR-DGR have jointly organized this programme.  Around 30 input dealers participated in the training programme. Kiran Reddy, Scientist, soil science acted as convener of the training programme. The training program was a part of certificate course on “Integrated nutrient management for fertilizer dealers” from 03-05-2023 to 17-05-2023. Three Theory lectures and two practical’s were organized at ICAR-DGR. Dr. Rinku Dey, Principal scientist, Microbiology delivered lecture on Importance of Bio-inoculants such as Rhizobium, Azotobacter, Phosphate Solubilizers, Azospirillum and Endophytes in groundnut. Dr. KK Reddy, Scientist, soil science, explained in brief about the Indian Soils and Methods of application of fertilizers, manures and bio-fertilizers in groundnut. Dr. CS Praharaj, Principal Scientist, Agronomy, delivered a talk on Conservation agriculture, soil health, and water conservation. Dr. KK Reddy gave a practical lecture on qualitative testing of fertilizers for impurities. Dr. Aaradhna Chilwal, Scientist, Agronomy gave the practical session on Determination of lime and gypsum requirement for soil application in acidic and alkaline soils. Dr. Sushmitha S, Scientist, Plant Physiology gave the lecture on micronutrient deficiencies in groundnut and their management. Overall the program was a grand success
