The infrastructural resources and potential of scientists of?DGR have been recognized by many? universites in India as potential supervisors for M.Sc. and PhD. Over a dozen of students have so far completed their work for their M.Sc.and PhD at?DGR under the direct supervision of scientists.
DGR has well furnished small library having the Computer with Internet facility. The library have 24 journals, 2826 books, 01 CD-ROMs. It has rich collection of annual reports and newsletters of ICAR institutes and other canters, received from time to time on regular basis under exchange. It has also wide range in-house publications such as newsletters, annual reports, technical bulletins, pamphlets etc. time to time released by DGR. The library is regular subscriber of 7 new papers, which includes one Hindi newspapers three English newspaper and three Gujarati newspaper and other magazines keeping in view the need of the staff
Library is an intact part of any institute which provides information to the users. The DGR library has a total collection of 2826 books including Hindi books. There are 1100 bound volumes of journals. Our library is enriched with the publications of FAO, CERA, UNESCO, IFAD etc which fulfill the needs of scientists, researchers, teachers and students.

?The ARIS (Agricultural Research Information System) cell was established at this Directorate in the year 1991 with the aim:
Over the years, services of the ARIS cell at DGR have been expanded with procurement of a new information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure to match with rapid advancement in ICT and provide quality internet and mail services to the staff and maintenance of their computers and peripherals. ?????? The ARIS Cell at DGR is maintaining more than 70 PCs connected through LAN backed by appropriate application software. This Cell has also developed a new dynamic page website for the DGR which is regularly updated. The Cell is equipped with 10 mbps lease line from BSNL on OFC. This Cell runs and maintains Linux?based Web, Mail, Proxy and File servers. All the computers are connected with LAN in the entire office-cum-lab building to support the internet and intranet requirement of this directorate. It also facilitates central services like additional computers for RAs, SRFs, guests?and students using WiFi connectivity.
